This way you can decide on a header without having to worry about the menu type. Once you've selected your preferred header, you can focus on the menu type and decide which one suits your shop best. The right combination of header and menu greatly influences the visitor's experience and can make navigation easier so that your visitors can effortlessly find what they are looking for. Info Your shop's menu might have been automatically changed to a cascading menu with expandable submenus, according to the new settings of your current header type. Some header types already had this menu type before, but if you previously had a header with a full-width menu, your shop now also has a cascading menu! But don't worry, you can easily change your menu type again by following the steps under Change the menu type. How to change the menu type In the sidebar of the administration, navigate to Editor. Select in the bottom bar. Select the tab . Choose the menu type that best fits your needs. If you are not sure which one to pick, see the section The different menu types below. If you use Option 1 as your header, it is not possible to change the menu type. This header type provides a special menu that is not displayed as a horizontal bar but as a pop-up menu on the left side. Select Save, once you've decided on a menu type. You have changed your menu type. The different menu types You are unsure which menu type to choose? Each menu type has its strengths and one may be better suited for your shop than the other. Cascading menuConsider using a cascading menu for your shop, if you offer a medium-sized product range. With expandable submenus, it provides a focused overview of your shop structure. Your visitors can effortlessly navigate around your shop as the submenus collapse under their parent category. This is how it can look like: Full-width menuA full-width menu can be a great choice for your shop. This type of menu displays all available sub-menus and is therefore ideal for shops with a large product range and several categories. The comprehensive view of your shop's structure simplifies browsing and helps visitors to easily navigate through the different sections and find what they are looking for.
