Help centre Orders Payment Enable payments via Apple Pay Caution Note that Apple Pay is only available as a payment method on iOS devices in the Safari browser. Apple Pay is Apple's mobile payment service that you can enable for your shop by using PayPal Checkout. If you have already set up PayPal Checkout for your shop, you'll only need to register your shop domain in your PayPal Business account and subsequently activate Apple Pay as a payment option in your PayPal settings. Apple Pay currently supports payments in 32 countries and 22 currencies. This information is subject to change. If in doubt, you should check the list of supported countries/currencies in the PayPal Developer Help. To ensure that your customers can't select a non-functioning payment option, you should register your domain first. How to register your shop domain for Apple Pay in your PayPal Business account Open PayPal. Sign in to your PayPal Business account. Navigate to Account Settings → Payment methods. Select Manage Apple Pay. Select Add Domain. Enter your shop domain. Be sure to use your fully qualified domain, for example www.example.com. Select Register Domain. You can ignore the additional set up steps regarding your domain association file. The domain association file is part of the plugin. You have registered your domain in your PayPal Business account. You can now activate Apple Pay as a payment option in your shop administration as described below. How to activate Apple Pay as a payment option In the sidebar of the administration, navigate to Settings → Payment.All added payment methods are listed in a table at the bottom of the page. Select the PayPal Checkout payment method. Caution Apple Pay is only available for PayPal Checkout. If you still use PayPal Express, you'll need to switch to PayPal Checkout first! For further information, refer to Set up payments via PayPal. Open the tab Settings. Activate the checkbox for Apple Pay under Payment options. Caution Before Apple Pay works, you must register your shop domain/activate Apple Pay in your PayPal Business account. You will also be notified of this in a warning message below this checkbox. Note that this message will always be displayed, regardless of whether you have already done this or not. Select Save. You have activated Apple Pay as a payment option for your shop. To check that everything has been set up correctly, open your shop in the Safari browser on an iOS device and try using Apple Pay as a payment method in a test order. If everything has been set up successfully, a payment form should open when you select the button Apple Pay in the checkout.
