Help centre Settings General Activate multi-factor authentication for your account Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds an additional layer of security to your account. In addition to your password, you must enter a time-based code generated by an authentication app to log in. This helps protect your account against unauthorised access.Availability of multi-factor authenticationMulti-factor authentication is not available for all accounts. If you use a centralised or external login, for example, this option may not be visible in your settings.How to enable multi-factor authenticationBefore you start, make sure you have an authentication app installed on your device.InfoNot all apps meet the required security standards. We recommend apps such as Google Authenticator or 2FAS.In the sidebar of the administration, navigate to Settings → General and open the Multi-factor authentication tab.Scan the QR code with your authentication app.The authentication app displays a code for your account.Verify the connection by entering the code in the Test code field.You have set up multi-factor authentication.Under Enable multi-factor authentication, select Yes.Select Save.You have enabled multi-factor authentication for your account.To disable multi-factor authentication, select No under Enable multi-factor authentication and save your changes.Backup codesYou can use backup codes to sign in if you lose access to your authentication app.To display your available backup codes, select Show backup codes and enter your password. Store the displayed backup codes in a secure place.Each backup code can only be used once.
