Help centre Editor Page setup Edit content with the Editor You can easily design your shops using the Editor. To do so, you do not need any coding skills. Simply navigate to Editor in the sidebar of the administration to get started. Pages of your shop Your shop includes various page types. These include: Page Description Symbol Home On the home page, you provide an overview of your shop and the products you are selling. The home page is what visitors see first. Category pages Category pages are used to display products from a specific category. In a fashion shop, for example, this could be the categories "Jackets" and "Trousers". Category pages are based on the category structure used in your shop. For further information, refer to Managing categories. Content pages (main menu) On content pages, you can provide further information. As an example, you can use an “About us” page to tell more about your company. You can display content pages either in the main or the footer menu. Content pages (footer menu) You can display content pages either in the main or footer menu. However, you can't nest pages in the footer. For further information, refer to Set footer pages. Legal pages It may be obligatory to include legal pages to comply with the law of your shop country. On them, you can provide your visitors with important information regarding issues such as data protection or the right of withdrawal. On pages of this type, you can only use text content elements. For further information on legal pages, refer to Learn more about legal pages. Product pages Your product pages are automatically created when you add a product. You can edit the texts and the pictures for products by selecting the product under Products → View products. They can't be edited via the Editor. You also can't drag & drop content elements onto these pages. Different sections of your shop Each page (with the exception of your shop's checkout) consists of three sections: 1 HeaderThe header contains elements like the logo of your shop, the main menu and the search bar. It helps visitors to find their way – or navigate – around your shop. For further information, refer to Change the header layout. 2 Content areaDepending on the page concerned, the content area might contain texts, images, videos, and/or products. 3 FooterThe footer contains links to the legal pages of your shop, such as the legal notice or your terms and conditions. Depending on the theme of your shop, this is where you can also display social media icons with links to your Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and other accounts. For further information, refer to Link your social media profiles in the footer and Set footer pages. Functionality of the Editor You can use the Editor to manage your pages and content. Open it by selecting Editor in the main menu in the administration area. Depending on the type of page, you can make the following changes. Add elements (such as text, images or videos) Edit and format elements Move elements Delete elements However, you have many more options for customising your shop according to your individual needs. Structure of the Editor The Editor also consists of different sections: 1 ThemesThe theme or design template is the foundation for the design of your shop. Each theme offers an individual combination of designs for the different sections of your shop. Choose the theme that best reflects your business. The settings of each theme can be changed later. For further information, refer to Use themes/design templates. 2 Content elementsYou can use content elements to design the pages in your shop. For example, there are text and image elements, but also product elements, contact forms, and an expandable FAQ element. Each content element can be easily added to a page in your shop using drag & drop. In your shop on the right-hand side, you can see where you can place the element, marked in blue. For further information, refer to the articles under Content elements. 3 PagesAll pages of your shop are displayed here. Here you can select which page you would like to work on in your shop and also adjust the general page settings. This is also where you can add new pages. For further information regarding the pages of your shop, refer to the section Pages of your shop. 4 Preview of your shopHere you can see the currently selected page of your shop. You can make various settings in this section. Note that all changes are immediately visible in your shop. 5 Bottom barVia the bottom bar, you can mainly personalise your theme.
