Help centre Products Product handling Unit prices and product amounts Unit prices allow customers to compare the price of products with different amounts. This makes it easy for your customers to compare prices. You can specify a different unit price for each product. In the following example, we will set the unit price for a bottle of fertiliser. The bottle contains 500ml and its list price is £12.99. This means that 1000ml would cost £25.98. As a result, this converted price for 1000ml of fertiliser will be displayed on the product page as a unit price. How to display the reference price on the product page In the sidebar of the administration, navigate to Products → View products. The table shows an overview of all products in your shop. In the table, select the respective product number of the product you would like to edit or add a new product. Move to the Price section. If you haven't set a price for this product yet, do this by adding it under List Price. Whether you need to enter the gross or net price depends on your tax settings. Under Reference amount for the unit price, enter a number and select the unit in the drop-down menu to the right. For example, 1000 millilitre(s). You may need to select More options to see this option. The selected unit will be automatically applied to the Amount in product field. Under Amount in product, enter the amount contained in the product. For example, 500 millilitre(s). This will not be displayed on the product page and is only used to calculate the unit price. Select Save. You have defined a reference amount and the amount contained in the product. The unit price will be automatically calculated based on this information. To see your changes, you can either check the preview under What your customers see in the Price section or view the changes in your shop. The information will only be displayed on the product page if you specify a list price, the reference amount, and the amount in the product. All these details are required for the calculation.
