Set up payments powered by Mollie

Manage your payments with Mollie and offer your customers a modern and convenient shopping experience. All important payment methods are combined in one integration and with just a few steps you will be able to receive online payments via PayPal, Klarna, credit cards, Apple Pay and other popular local payment methods.

Note that the availability of Mollie in your shop depends on your shop country and/or shop package. If you don't have access to shop payment methods powered by Mollie, you can find more information about setting up other payment methods under Set up payment methods.

How to integrate Mollie into your shop

Before you can start offering payment methods provided by Mollie, you will need to:

  • Connect your shop to Mollie
  • Add payment methods powered by Mollie

Connect your shop to Mollie

  1. In the sidebar of the administration, navigate to Settings → Payment.
  2. Select Set up shop payment with Mollie. You will be automatically redirected to Mollie. If you don’t have an account yet, select the link Create Mollie account instead to create one before proceeding to the next step.
  3. Log in with your Mollie account.
  4. Grant your shop access to your Mollie account by selecting Connect.
    You will be automatically redirected to your shop administration.

You have connected your shop to Mollie.

You can now continue by adding payment methods powered by Mollie. However, you can also always add more Mollie payment methods later.

Add payment methods powered by Mollie

  1. Select the desired website profile in the drop-down menu Website profile.
    If you remove this website profile from your Mollie account, you'll need to choose another website profile in your shop administration to continue offering the added Mollie payment methods at checkout. To learn more about Mollie website profiles, refer to the Mollie help center.
  2. Add the desired payment methods by activating the respective checkboxes.
    The availability of payment methods depends on your website profile settings. If your desired payment method is not available, you might need to activate it for the selected website profile first. For further information, refer to the Mollie help center.
  3. Select Save.

You have integrated Mollie into your shop.

To offer the added payment methods to your customers, remember to set them to visible on the General tab. Learn more in the article Payment methods in the section "How to edit a payment method".

How to add more payment methods powered by Mollie

After you have integrated Mollie into your shop, you can always add further payment methods powered by Mollie. This is how you do it:

  1. In the sidebar of the administration, navigate to Settings → Payment.
  2. Select Add Mollie payment methods.
    A pop-up opens.
  3. Add the desired payment methods by activating the respective checkboxes.
    The availability of payment methods depends on your website profile settings. If your desired payment method is not available, you might need to activate it for the selected website profile first. For further information, refer to the Mollie help center.
  4. Select Add selected.

You have added further payment methods to your shop.

To offer the added payment methods to your customers, remember to set them to visible on the General tab. For further information, refer to the section "How to edit a payment method" under Set up payment methods.

How to set up payment methods powered by Mollie

Once you have added a payment method powered by Mollie, the setup workflow is similar to other payment methods. For each payment method you have added via Mollie, there is a dedicated entry in the payment methods table, which you can see under Settings → Payment at the bottom of the page. For a better overview, the Provider column shows which payment methods are powered by Mollie.
