Help centre Editor Header and footer setup Pick a footer layout You can not only change the content of your shop’s footer, but also the way your footer is arranged, meaning its overall structure. Your footer layout greatly influences the customer experience. It can facilitate navigation so that your customers can more easily find what they are looking for. Overview of the different footer layouts You can choose between two layouts: The Row layout and the Column layout. Row layout This layout displays your footer content in horizontally stacked rows. It is best suited if you want to display a smaller number of items in the footer. This is how it can look like: Column layout This layout displays your footer content in vertically arranged columns with titles. It is ideal to display a larger number of items in a clear and structured way. The different sections are distributed across different columns, but note that some sections are displayed in one column. On the tab , you can see which section is displayed in which column. You can also edit the titles of the individual sections. For further information, refer to the section How to display and edit section titles. This is how it can look like: How to change the footer layout In the sidebar of the administration, navigate to Editor.The Editor opens. In the bottom bar, select . Open the tab . Choose the footer layout that best fits your business. If you are not sure which layout to pick, refer to the section Overview of the different footer layouts. Once you have decided on a footer layout, select Save. You have changed your footer layout. To further customise it to your needs, you can make additional settings in the bottom bar of the Editor. Info Regarding the colours in the footer, you may be able to set them, but this depends on the theme that you selected for your website and its effect on the colour settings. If you cannot manually set the colour of the footer content, it will be displayed in either black or white depending on the colour of the footer background so that the content is easy to see. How to edit the footer content In addition to the overall layout, you can also determine the content of the individual rows/columns. This is how you do it: In the sidebar of the administration, navigate to Editor.The Editor opens. In the bottom bar, select . Open the tab . Select to decide what to display in the different rows/columns. If you prefer not to display one of the sections, activate the toggle Hide section. The content is distributed in the following sections: Section Content Legal Define which legal pages are shown in your footer by activating/deactivating the respective checkboxes. To change the content of each legal page, open the respective legal page in the Editor. For further information, refer to Edit legal pages. By activating/deactivating the respective checkboxes, you only change the visibility setting. If you change the visibility of a legal page in the page settings, this change will also be reflected here. To change the order of the legal pages in your footer, drag and drop the different tiles to the desired position. About Define which pages are shown in your footer by activating/deactivating the respective checkboxes. All content pages that have Footer set as Page location are listed here. For further information, refer to Set footer pages. By activating/deactivating the respective checkboxes, you only change the visibility setting. If you change the visibility of a footer page in the page settings, this change will also be reflected here. To change the order of your footer pages, drag and drop the different tiles to the desired position. Payment Define which payment methods you want to highlight in your footer by activating/deactivating the respective checkboxes. For further information, refer to Display payment/delivery method logos in the footer. Delivery Define which delivery methods you want to highlight in your footer by activating/deactivating the respective checkboxes. For further information, refer to Display payment/delivery method logos in the footer. Social Media Define which of your social media profiles you want to link in the footer. For further information, refer to Link your social media profiles in the footer. Contact Define the contact information that you want to display in the footer. For further information, refer to Add contact/location information to the footer. Once you are done, select Save. You have edited the content of your footer. If you also want to display your copyright information in the footer, make the respective settings on the tab . For further information, refer to Display copyright information. How to display and edit section titles For the column layout, you can also decide if you want to display section titles. As the section titles are not visible for the row layout anyway, you cannot edit them when the row layout is selected. This is how you do it: In the sidebar of the administration, navigate to Editor.The Editor opens. In the bottom bar, select . Open the tab . Next to the desired section, select . Activate the checkbox Section title.The default headline for this section is displayed. Optionally, enter a customised headline for the section. Once you are done, select Save.
