Add subpages to a page

You can add several subpages to each content page in your main menu. It is possible to add up to four nesting levels per page. However, you can’t nest pages in the footer menu, which means it is not possible to add subpages there. Adding sub pages allows you to better organise your content and makes it easier for your customers to navigate and find what they are looking for.

For example, you can split up your "About us" page and not only present your team on a separate page, but also your brick-and-mortar shop. This way you can give your customers a more detailed overview directly in the main menu instead of presenting all of your content on one page.

Info

Depending on your selected menu type, your subpages will either collapse under their parent page or be displayed in a full-width menu with a comprehensive view. For further information, refer to Pick a menu type.

How to add a subpage

  1. In the sidebar of the administration, navigate to Editor.
  2. You can see a list of your pages in the sidebar of your Editor under Pages → Content pages.
  3. To add a subpage, you have the following options:
    • If you want to add a new page as a subpage, refer to Add a new page.
    • If you want to convert an existing main page into a subpage, you'll need to move it to the desired position using drag & drop. You can't use the page settings under Page settings to convert a main page to a subpage. Remember that you can only nest pages in the main menu, not in the footer menu.

Your changes are automatically saved and directly applied to your shop.

If you delete a page with subpages, the subpages will be moved up one level to replace the deleted page. For further information on deleting pages, refer to Delete content pages.

You can't create subcategories this way. Instead, subcategories can be added in your category settings. For further information, refer to Manage categories.
