Help centre Products Product handling Set cross-selling offers Cross-selling describes the sale of similar or complementary products. To promote these products, you can assign them to be displayed on other product pages. This allows you to fulfil your customers' needs even more precisely and can encourage them to make further purchases. This makes cross-selling an easy way to increase sales. This is what cross-selling can look like in your shop: Which products are suitable for cross-selling? Accessories Accessories usually refer to products that are useful or even necessary to use the main product. By assigning accessory products to your products, you can prevent potential frustration on the part of your customers. For example, if you sell products that require batteries, you can display these as accessories. Related products These products are a sensible addition to another product. This way, you can make suggestions to your customers which other products might be interesting for them. For example, if you sell brown shoes, you could assign a brown belt as a matching accessory. Alternative products Instead of speculating that customers are interested in buying more products in addition to the product they are currently looking at, present your customer with some products that they could buy instead. For example, you could suggest more expensive products as alternatives to the product the customer is currently looking at. This method is also called "Upselling". However, alternative products do not necessarily have to be more expensive. You can also offer products with a higher profit margin or products that you want to sell as quickly as possible.
