Or if you sell homemade marmalade, inform your customers about the manufacturing process, ingredients, and allergens. The product description is displayed on the product page. You can also format the text to suit your needs. For further information, refer to Use the formatting options for text.

If you don't add a list price, the button Add to basket on the product page is greyed out and cannot be selected by your customers.

More options

Original price
You can use the original price function to refer the customer to the old price, e.g. if the product is currently on sale, or to indicate the recommended retail price. Whether you need to enter the gross or net price depends on your tax settings.

Mark as RRP
If you have entered the recommended retail price as the original price, select Yes to make it clear that the indicated original price is the recommended retail price of the manufacturer.

Select Yes to display, along with the price, an indication of delivery costs that links to your shop’s page on payment and delivery. Only select No if delivery for this product is always free.

Enter a quantity and select a unit in the drop-down menu. When you enter or update a product code here, it may take a while until it appears in the search results. You may also need product codes to work with product portals or other connected systems.

Stock level
The stock level indicates how many items of a product you still have in stock. You can determine an individual stock level for each product in your shop.

Each time an order is placed, the stock level will be automatically updated. For example, you have set a stock level of 15 pieces for a product. After the product has been purchased 3 times the stock level has decreased to 12.

The stock level not only gives you an overview of your stock, but is also used to display the availability in your shop. For example, if the stock level of a product is 0, it means that it is sold out and will be displayed as "Not in stock" in your shop. You can edit the display texts for the availability of your products in the Product display settings. For further information, refer to Stock level & Minimum stock level.

Minimum stock level
If the stock level falls below this number, the product availability will be displayed as "Low stock" in your shop. You can edit the display texts for the availability of your products in the Product display settings. For further information, refer to Stock level & Minimum stock level.

Additional product information

If your location is in the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA) or you sell your products to the EU/EEA, it is required to include manufacturer and product safety information for most non-food products and for all sales channels.

The reason for this is the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), which applies from 13 December 2024. For further information, refer to the website of the European Commission and/or contact a legal advisor.

Manufacturer

Name
Adding the manufacturer of the product can be useful for product management, e.g. you can search for the manufacturer's name when assigning products to a category. Furthermore, your customers can use the manufacturer as a search term in your shop.

To select a manufacturer, use the Name drop-down menu. For further information, refer to Add manufacturer information.

Essential features
This text is displayed in the last step of the order process in addition to the product name and manufacturer. In some countries, essential features are required by law.

The essential features heavily depend on your product and its characteristic features. Ultimately, it is important that your customers can compare one product with another and make a well-informed purchase decision without seeing the product in real life.

Product data sheet
Here you can upload a data sheet for the product, for instance, if this is required by law.

Energy label
Upload the energy label here if your product must have an energy consumption label. For further information, refer to Add an energy label and energy efficiency class.

Other settings

Customisation

Offer customisation option
Display a text field on the product page to allow customers to enter a custom text or a comment regarding the product. This way, customers can, for example, request a specific text to be engraved or make other wishes.

Note that this product cannot be added to the basket before the customer has entered something in the text field. If you want to offer a product that can be personalised, but does not have to be, you should create the product twice. One with the option to personalise it and one without. This way you can, for example, also adjust the price if you want to set it higher for a personalised product.

Character limit
Set the maximum length of text your customers can enter for this product. This may depend on the size of the product, for example, if there is limited space to engrave a text of their choice.

Custom text headline
You have the option to change the headline that is displayed to your customers above the text field (max. 50 characters). If you don’t make any changes, the default headline “Add customisation” will be displayed.

Caution

Note that the headline will be displayed with an additional colon for the products in the basket. Any punctuation marks you add at the end of the headline will be displayed in the basket alongside the colon.

Atributes

Product type
The product type determines the attributes that are displayed. After you have selected a product type, you need to save first to be able to edit the attributes. For further information, refer to Product types and attributes.

Search engine entry

Page title
The page title is displayed on the browser tab and is also an important link in search engine results. Provide the shop and page name, and select keywords that best represent your shop.

Meta description
Use brief and meaningful text to describe the page. This text will be shown in the results of search engines, such as Google, and can attract more visitors to your shop.

Images and videos

Appealing product images are important for the success of your online shop. The product images are displayed at different points in your shop – for example on the product pages or in product lists.

Your product images should have a size of at least 1100 x 1100 pixels and have the same format (square, landscape or portrait). Generally, the greater the resolution of the uploaded images, the better the images look when enlarged or viewed on high-definition devices. For further information about product images, refer to Add and edit product images.

You can also add a product video. For further information, refer to Product videos.
